WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe is a program I found myself in a sudden need of due to buying a new monitor and needing to reorganize my video library to suit the new high resolutions. It meant I needed new movie rips, new copies of my edited videos and many more things that needed fixing now that I could see how muddy and flawed even my DVD quality videos were.
Luckily, this program lets me do pretty much anything I want with HD videos with resolutions up to 5K. The moment I opened it, I was a little afraid - the design choice for the interface is no-nonsense functional and in no way prepares a casual user like me for the process of actually converting a high-definition video. There are so many options one can lose himself in it and mess things up. The developers probably knew about this initial reaction and included sub-menus to help users narrow it down. You can select the destination for the converted video by device - PC, Apple device, Android device, Microsoft Phone, online service, DVD, Bluray, etc.
The menus for converting are also as detailed as possible, with the option to select format, frame rate, audio track and about everything you can possibly want to do to a video. Despite the abundance of features, the process itself is quite simple and fast - depending on the file size, of course. Before converting, you can cut, crop, merge files, add subtitles and otherwise edit the video so that the result would be immediately usable. Editing functions are few, but handy. Combine that with the extensive settings for conversion and you get a real heavy-hitter.
Additional features include a built-in Youtube video downloader and a slide-show maker. With amazing functionality like the one WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe, these can only be viewed as a pleasant and useful bonus.
All in all, WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe is amazing. It works fast for a program that deals with HD, offers a lot and is well worth the price.
